The finished design will create garden spaces that are liveable and inviting. the deck area lowered and moved in toward the west boundary creates privacy ideal for both evening and morning relaxation thats enclosed through planting, offering both a feeling of sanctuary and privacy, while being protected from westerly winds afternoon sun while retaining morning sun.

A covered outdoor entertaining area is created with a modern pergola and structured seating that divides the space for different purposes. It features an outdoor fireplace for year-round use and becomes a destination in an otherwise awkward area.

Utility spaces are screened off and the vegetable gardens raised for minimal care. The pedestrian entry is altered and creates a front lawn space.

The transition areas become contrasted with the western side inviting a slow meander through native natural style planting (great fo the birds and bugs) where the driveway is softened with plant life in a highly hard surfaced area.

A New Zealand modern style planting that is lush and abundant with a strong textural interest. Feature trees and block planting of hedges create formal elements that hold the eye and balance the ‘wild’ wispy and light textured plants with a high ratio of native species.
